Community Volunteering Calendar
A large part of what we do is give back to our local community by doing hands-on volunteer projects. Partnering with some of the most impactful non-profit organizations in Marin, we contextualize the curriculum the kids learn in the classroom by working in the communities that are in the most need.
C4C takes part in over 50 volunteer activities a year, ranging from feeding/spending time with the homeless, community clean up days, visiting assisted living facilities for the elderly and people with special needs, gathering school supplies for foster children and those living in poverty, to helping at the local food bank, animal rescue centers and community food clinics.
For those who have their sites set on doing service abroad, C4C also offers a service trip to a foreign country once a year a well.
The opportunities are expansive, high touch and always extremely rewarding for all participants.
A primary goal of the Children for Change Club is to connect our children with our community by doing service for others - moving them from the "I" to the "we" mentality. Although the needs in our county are sometimes hidden, they are present and in need of attention.
Our VOLUNTEER CALENDAR includes a variety of opportunities to get involved, connect and help with activities ranging from feeding the homeless and beautifying our environment to helping at animal shelters and homes for the elderly and special needs community.
We have found that we need only provide the opportunity and our children will step up, meet and exceed the need with smiles on their faces and full appreciation for the people and task at hand.
